Eligibility
Students pursuing a three-year LL.B. or five-year integrated LL.B. at a BCI-approved institution. Teams of three -- 2 speakers and 1 researcher; witnesses are provided by the organisers. Up to two teams per institution; 30 slots, first come first served. Fee Rs 6,000 per team including food and accommodation. Provisional registration: klstaas@kls.ac.in.
About this competition
A trial advocacy competition now in its eighth year, held entirely in person at KIIT. Teams are tested on procedure, evidence handling, and the examination and cross-examination of witnesses rather than appellate argument. Prize pool Rs 2.15 lakh+ -- Rs 1 lakh to the winners, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 to the runners-up, and Rs 10,000 each for Best Researcher, Advocate, Memorial and Witness.
