About this competition

The specialist wildlife moot, run by GLC Mumbai with the Wildlife Conservation Trust. The 2026-27 proposition turns on illegal wildlife trade at a heritage market and enforcement under the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 — maintainability of a criminal writ seeking registration of an FIR, the rights of a proposed accused before investigation, and the admissibility of sting recordings. Prizes total Rs 60,000, with Rs 25,000 to the best team. The fee covering accommodation makes it one of the cheaper outstation moots to actually attend. Note the registration link here is the moot proposition: entry starts with an email, not a form.
