About this competition
The FDI Moot focuses on investor-state dispute settlement: each year's case pits a foreign investor against a host state before an arbitral tribunal, raising questions of investment treaty interpretation, jurisdiction, and state responsibility.
Teams submit memorials for both sides before the oral rounds, and the global finals rotate between host institutions around the world, preceded by regional rounds. The moot's bench is stacked with practising investment arbitration counsel and arbitrators, making it exceptional networking for anyone eyeing international arbitration.
